Fling Together Collective is looking for 10 USA based premier level Highland dancers to join the Kathryn Stewart Highland Dancers to form the Belfast International Tattoo Highland Dance Team! Event Details​

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK)
Dates: 3 - 7 September 2025
Travel & Accommodation: Dancers are responsible for their own travel to and from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Accommodation is from Wednesday 3rd - Sunday 7th September in the University of Ulster Jordanstown. Single rooms, 5 to a flat with shared kitchen. Most meals will be provided during this time. Breakfast will be in your kitchens and dinner will be in the SSE arena each evening. Please make sure to disclose any dietary requirements in this application. If you need transport from the main bus station in Belfast, that will be arranged.
Please note USA citizens, in addition to a valid passport, are now required to have an ETA to enter the UK. More information here: Passport and Visa Requirments
Costume: Dancers will need to have a full kilt outfit with matching jacket. Dancers will be required to purchase a team top (extras such as hoodies are optional).
Schedule:
Wednesday, Sept 3 - Arrive into Belfast before 1:00pm for afternoon rehearsal
Thursday, Sept 4 - Rehearsal during the day and then dress rehearsal approx. 6:30pm
Friday, Sept 5 - Performance @ 7:30pm
Saturday, Sept 6 - Performance @ 2:00pm & 8:00pm
Sunday, Sept 7 - Depart from Belfast​​​

Dancers must sign a media release and dancer contract to participate.
Audition Details
Components:

Solo Choreography - 2 min max (must be recorded within the past 18 months);

3&1 Seann Triubhas - Steps are dancer’s choice but MUST include either a leap step with an entrechat ending OR an entrechat step with a leap ending;

4&1 Irish Jig - 2025 Premiership Steps: Intro (3rd Method), 1st Step (Circle), 3rd Step (Break Step), 8th Step (Cross and Clip-Heels/Break C), 9th Step (Diagonal Roll), 1st Finishing Step (Toe Tap)

Brush and Travel Step - Alternative method (5th Step Laddie)
Instructions:

Dancers may submit 1 link with all components in the same video or separate links for each part.

Dancers will be evaluated based on both technique and presentation.

Dancers must perform the Seann Triubhas in a full performance kilt outfit with matching jacket and socks.

Dancers may wear practice clothing for the Irish Jig and Highland Laddie step. Please nothing too baggy that hinders your ability to dance or our ability to see your technique.

Ghillies must be worn.

Choreography video may be pre-recorded within the past 18 months

Videos should be recorded in landscape orientation with dancer fully visible.​​
